Excess fat or breast tissue on the chest occurs in some men and is often referred to as Gynecomastia. This tissue can be a source of embarrassment and often leads to a poor body image. Many of my patients with gynecomastia will not take off their shirt in public. Fortunately this tissue can effectively be removed, most often via liposuction alone. Patients typically go home the same day of surgery and are ready to return to work a week later.
