Non-Surgical Procedures San Francisco

What do we love most about these procedures?
They’re the quickest way to remove wrinkles.

Non-surgical procedures, including Botox and fillers (like Juvederm, Radiesse, Belotero, Fat, etc.) aim to improve your appearance without surgery and therefore with minimal discomfort, immediate results and no (or nearly no) downtime.

The simple rule to remember which non-surgical treatment is best for which area of the face is that Botox (and other muscle relaxers) work from the eyes and up into the forehead while fillers are generally used below the eyes and up into the forehead while fillers are generally used below the eyes: in the cheeks, lips and smile lines. Of course, like any rule this one has exceptions but this is a good starting point to help you remember.

ThermiRF

ThermiRF is a procedure performed by Dr. Anthony designed to induce skin shrinkage and improve skin appearance with virtually no down time.

Coolsculpting

Coolsculpting is based on the principle that fat cells freeze at a lower temperature than normal skin cells. The fat cells targeted by Coolsculpting are actually frozen, killing the targeted fat cells only and leaving the healthy skin cells undamaged.
If you are trying to eliminate those unwanted bulges for summer and don’t want the downtime resulting from an invasive body contouring surgical procedure, then Coolsculpting may be the treatment for you.

Botox

Botox injections have become increasingly popular as a way to reduce or eliminate wrinkles by relaxing the muscles which cause them. Dr. Anthony has been performing Botox for over 20 years and has personally performed literally thousands of these injections. “My patients love that Botox is fast acting, virtually painless, with results lasting up to four months. Receiving Botox takes only a few minutes- so few that many patients move on to their lunch breaks,” says Dr. Anthony.

In addition to reducing wrinkles in the forehead, between the eyebrows, the crow’s feet, around the mouth and on the chin, Botox has several other uses. These include reducing sweating (hyperhidrosis) and treating migraine headaches. Botox is highly effective in dramatically reducing underarm sweating and when given to the underarm area the effects seem to be longer lasting- from 6 to 9 months.

DERMAL FILLERS Juvederm & Radiesse

If you are unhappy with the sudden appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, sunken in cheeks and other common signs of aging, you might look to Radiesse to fill out those lines and plump up your cheeks or lips. Dermal fillers and injectables, like the ever popular Botox, have become almost commonplace these days, all but replacing the scalpel and expensive surgical procedures by presenting a virtually painless, quick fix that can be catered to each patient’s individual needs.

Radiesse volumizes deeper and is best used in specific areas and only takes minutes to apply and lasts for a couple of months.

A consultation is needed to determine which dermal filler is right for you. As with all procedures, there are risks and potential side effects. Side effects for dermal fillers are minimal, but may include minor swelling, minor bruising or redness at the injection site.

Latisse

Long, elegant lashes are a highly admired trait. Many women struggle to achieve the look with gluing on fake lashes and competing mascaras that promise to lengthen and define your lashes, but until now there has never been an FDA approved eyelash enhancement product on the market that really can achieve those long, elegant lashes you desire. Latisse, from Allergen, is a prescription treatment that is intended to treat hypotrichosis (aka. having too few eyelashes). One of the main ingredients in Latisse is bimatoprost which is known to stimulate lash growth.

The before and after photos of proven eyelash growth on those who use Latisse are truly amazing, but as with all products and procedures, there are potential risks and side effects. Some women may experience redness, itching, irritation and dryness of the eyes. Discolorations of the skin on the area of the eyelid the treatment is applied on, and potential allergic reactions are also a possible risk. Speaking to your skin care professional is the best way to determine if Latisse may be right for you.
